MAZDA HIGH IDLE SPEED

This bulletin applies to 2012-2014 Mazda3, 2014-2015 Mazda6 and 2013-2015 CX-5 vehicles, all equipped with SKYACTIV-G. Some customers may complain about one of the following when the vehicle is stopped and the transmission is in the D range:

  • Intermittent high engine idle speed
  • Intermittent engagement shock
  • Intermittent forward lurch

These concerns may occur when the customer depresses the brake pedal and makes contact with the throttle pedal at the same time.

Verify the complaint and reboot the IDS to clear memory before reprogramming. Using IDS 89.03 or higher software, reprogram the PCM to the latest calibration.
