Jaguar announced a change in battery test procedure for 2016 F-PACE, F-Type, XE and XJ vehicles. The issue: the EXP-1080 battery test may have failed after the battery has been charged. The cause: batteries require a 30-minute cooldown time after charging to allow for stabilization.
After charging a battery using the recommended time to charge table provided by the Midtronics tester, leave the battery for 30 minutes to stabilize. This is important to get an accurate battery test result.
