Mazda Aftermarket Add-Ons Cause Disturbance

This bulletin applies to 2014-2018 Mazda3, 2014-2018 Mazda6, 2016-2019 CX-3, 2013-2018 CX-5, 2016-2019 CX-9 and 2016-2019 MX-5 vehicles. The customer may experience no-start button issues and/or a blurry rear-view monitor display. This may be caused by interference due to an aftermarket accessory device such as a cell phone charger, GPS tracker, etc. which may create excessive electrical noise.
For example, an aftermarket cell phone charger plugged into a 12V outlet may cause the engine start/stop button amber light to flash and a red key warning light on. An aftermarket GPS tracking device wired to the power window main switch may cause the start/stop button amber light to flash and the red key warning light on.

If such items are installed, remove/disconnect and verify proper starting and rear view display operation.
