Oil Pressure Crisis for Chevy Camaro

This bulletin applies to 2016 Chevy Camaro and 2014-2016 Corvette vehicles equipped with an LT1 or LT4 engine. If the vehicle sets code P06DD, this indicates no or low oil pressure. The oil control valve may be stuck off, commanding high oil pressure (98 psi) and/or the oil pump face may be damaged. The tensioner spring in the timing chain guide may be “short,” and not fully seating into the guide pivot end. Cycling the oil pump control valve will not cause changes in oil pump response. Replace the timing chain tensioner guide. If the oil pump face is damaged and/or worn, replace the oil pump. Inspect the cam, main and rod bearings for damage wear due to potential debris from the pump.
