Kedrick and Louann Johnson, alongside fellow franchisee Mike DeBoer, have added a fifth location to their Abra Auto Body Repair franchise, according to a press release.
The Johnsons have a long history in the collision repair business. Kedrick began working alongside his uncle in the '60s and ultimately opened his own body shop out of his father's four-car garage. Through the '80s, Johnson's sons grew interested in the business and helped to grow Johnson's Auto Body, which later became KLST, Inc. The family purchased their first Abra location in Elk River in 1994, the release says.
“Success does not come easy without the hard work, diligence, and adaptability demonstrated by the Johnson family,” said Wayne Kelly, vice president, operations, Abra, in the release. “It is always inspiring to see owners genuinely connecting with their industry peers and communities to leave a lasting impact and smile.”
In addition to Elk River, The Johnsons have Abra shops in Princeton, St. Cloud, Duluth, and Cloquet, which is the latest addition.
