Colours Inc. announced in an Aug. 30 Facebook post that it had acquired A&B Auto Body Supply in Illinois, with locations in Peru, Bloomington, Peoria, Sterling, and South Beloit.
"Doug and Susan Layhew have built a strong reputation of caring for their customers and employees as if they were family, one of the key principles passed down by Arthur Eade, Susan's father, who founded A&B in 1963," the post stated. "Colours would like to extend a warm welcome to the entire A&B Team as they join the Colours organization and family. We look forward to many years of growth in the Midwest market."
Colours Inc. has been growing beyond its mid-Atlantic roots. The PPG Platinum Distributor's location map, dated Nov. 2022, shows a distribution center and 45 stores, including one in Illinois, two in Iowa, and one in Nebraska.
