Upgrading Volvo engine management software

This bulletin applies to 2016-2018 Volvo XC60/XC90, 2017 S90, 2017- 2018 V90/V90CC and 2018 S90 vehicles.

This bulletin applies to 2016-2018 Volvo XC60/XC90, 2017 S90, 2017- 2018 V90/V90CC and 2018 S90 vehicles. The vehicle may exhibit intermittent low performance (poor power at take-off, general lack of power) accompanied by check engine light/warning lights/chimes. Intermittent DTCs P008800, P034192 and/or P036692 may be stored in the ECM. A new engine management software is available.

Perform an upgrade of the software. Use VST operation number 36004-2 (software control module downloading). A new engine management software is available from 2019w04.
