A knock or clunk may be heard at the left front suspension on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

A knock or clunk may be heard at the left front suspension on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

This applies to vehicles built on or after June 17, 2019, and on or before June 20, 2019. Perform the inspection with the vehicle on the ground and under its own weight.

The coil spring may be in contact with an adjacent bolt shank protruding from the inner wheel well (see photo).

If the clearance between the bolt and spring is less than nine mm, replace the coil spring using new spring P/N 68372928AA. After reinstalling the strut assembly, verify that toe alignment is within specification.
