Replacing Jeep Wrangler belt tensioner

This bulletin applies to 2020 Jeep Wrangler vehicles built on or after Dec. 13, 2019, and on or before Jan. 25, 2020, equipped with a 3.6L V6 24V E-Torque engine.

Customers may experience a MIL on. DTC P2BA3-00 (starter/generator mechanical performance) and P0A92-00 (hybrid/generator performance) may be set.

The vehicle may experience a dead battery and/or the accessory drive belt may be slipping/belt noise.

Inspect the Julian date on the hydraulic belt tensioner. If the Julian date is 15.08.19 is found, replace the belt tensioner with P/N 05281590AB.
